Natasha Petrova knows about food and she knows about business. Throughout her childhood, her parents owned restaurants and cafes, and she always knew she wanted to run her own business in the food industry. 

Fourteen years ago, she founded Kitchen Remedy and has seen the business flourish under her management. She’s used her expertise to consult for other businesses and prides herself on offering her customers delicious, vibrant and nutritious plant-based food. 

Natasha believes that the key to her success is that she doesn’t focus on ‘health’ per se, but the quality, freshness and locality of her ingredients. This ultimately leads to a product that always sells well - while making people feel good. 

We talk to Natasha about how Ordermentum has helped her in recent years and her exciting future plans.

Why did you first start using Ordermentum?

We were approached in 2018, and I loved that someone had found a problem in the market and was trying to solve it -  it totally aligned with my values. 

The problem of course was how manual it was to take orders. I was used to taking orders by Excel and Ordermentum’s system was a breath of fresh air. From day one, I knew it would reduce manual labour - OM nailed that aspect.

How does using Ordermentum make it easier for you to run a wholesale business?

Since I’ve changed to Xero, invoices get automatically created. It’s such a massive help. 

If only 20 orders came in and I had to manually input this info, it might be an hour. But if you’re talking 100 orders, then it’s a lot more, and you’re saving half a day of work at least. 

What's your favourite Ordermentum feature?

It’s really amazing being able to print out orders for the delivery team - we have absolutely zero mistakes with that. It’s fault free. 

My production manager has a much easier time with that, and the busier we get the more useful this feature is. 

Since we’re planning to grow this year, I’m very glad we have a feature like this to make logistics and delivery so much easier.

What do you think of the Digital Catalogue?

It makes it so much easier for customers because they can see the price of all products, how the products look, and how the products are packaged. 

This means less questions, so therefore less admin and they can order from you quicker.

Compared to multi-national businesses, you get personalised support. We have one dedicated success manager who is personally interested in the business growing and making sure we get what we want. 

As we grow the business, I know we’ll work with Ordermentum much more closely.

What feedback do you get from your customers using Ordermentum?

I think for my customers it’s user friendly, they can see all our products and it’s a simple process for them.
