Our Foodservice Australia 2023 Wrap Up
What a week! We exhibited at Foodservice Australia 2023, and had the best time meeting suppliers, distributors and key players in the food service industry.
The hospitality industry evolves every year, and the Foodservice Australia event in Melbourne was the perfect reason for industry players to come together and showcase their products, spruik their services, and discover new trends.
Working behind the scenes on a tech platform means that trade shows are valuable opportunities to connect in real life and to meet old and new friends. Events like FSA mean we can gather feedback and can show members of the community what we’re all about.
We exhibited for three days and thanks to some of our amazing suppliers, we were well stocked with lots of fabulous produce for the stand, and we’re so grateful for the support:
- Mmmore
- Cremorne Street Bakery
- Manuka Loving Life
- Captain Spice
- Camati
- Costa’s Biskotery
- Good Edi
- Riverina Fresh
- Ratio Cocoa
- Cookie Dough
- Cappstar
- Eat for you
- Monkschai
- Dulce Gelateria
- Axil Coffee
Congrats to the Chef of the Year
32 of the best professional chefs from around Australia competed in the prestigious Chef of the Year competition at Foodservice Australia.
Competition Director Peter Wright says the vast number of entries from senior chefs demonstrates this title has become one of the most sought-after in the Australian culinary world. And with $10,000 cash and valuable prizes up for grabs it is also one of Australia’s richest competitions for chefs.
Congratulations Tom Hitchcock from The Spirithouse for winning Chef of the Year 2023. Congratulations to all the competitors, a huge effort from all!
Panel discussion on the impact of AI
The National Restaurant Conference hosted a panel discussion on the impact of AI and technology in the hospitality sector.
Our Founder & CEO, Adam Theobald joined industry experts sharing their insights on how smart operators can harness the power of technology to drive profitability. In an upcoming blog post, we'll summarise the key takeaways from the panel discussion and explore the opportunities that arise from new technology in the foodservice industry.
We were super lucky to have our stand near the Roasting Warehouse stand, which meant barista-made coffee on demand for our team for the duration of the expo - as well as many chats and good times.
By the end of the three days, we were packing down, weary but happy to have been part of what’s always such a fantastic event.
Bring on next year!
